Singapore-based regional shortform platform, Viddsee, has tied up with Indonesia’s MNC Pictures on an accelerator programme for Indonesia’s filmmakers.
The programme will operate as part of Viddsee Labs, which launched in October this year to fast-track IP development.
The first project rolled out this week under the “Etalase Kota” banner.
The anthology showcases “the uniqueness of the people who live in the city and who captures and embodies the soul, heartbeat and identity of a city”, said Derek Tan, Viddsee's chief commercial officer.
The accelerator is open to Indonesian filmmakers whose works have been selected as either finalists or the out-of-competition category at Viddsee’s Juree Awards for the past five years.
Submissions close on 3 January 2022 and winners will be announced on 27 January 2022.
Winning short films will be funded by MNC Pictures and the final films will be broadcast exclusively on Indonesian short-form film platform, Klaklik.
