A Thai version of Nippon TV’s one-hour drama, “Homeroom”, is in the works at local production house Juvenile Co/Juve9 for digital platform TrueID.

The series’ premiere is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2024.

The Thai version is the second global deal for the student hostage drama about a teacher who holds 29 students captive 10 days before graduation. As they confront the past, they discover why one of the classmates committed suicide.

The deal, announced this morning as this year’s Mipcom market opened, follows Juve9’s Thai adaptations of “Mother” and “Abandoned” as well as the local version of BBC’s “Doctor Foster” for BEC World/Channel 3.
