Thai telco AIS has confirmed that it will swap out Warner Bros Discovery’s existing streaming platform, HBO GO, for Max when the new streamer launches on 19 November.
The agreement is part of Max’s roll out with existing WBD platform partners in the region.
AIS’s HBO GO subscribers will automatically become “Max Standard” customers.
The Max Standard entitlement supports simultaneous streaming on two devices at once and allows viewing on multiple devices, including TVs. In addition, customers can save up to 30 downloads to watch on the go.
The telco says current AIS mobile and AIS 3BB Fibre3 Fixed-Broadband customers with HBO GO, Play Premium Plus, or Play XL packages can continue to stream content and access the five premium channels – HBO, HBO Signature, HBO HITS, HBO Family, and Cinemax – via AIS Play, AIS Playbox, and 3BB GigaTV as usual.
AIS is promoting the annual HBO package for THB 1,190/US$35.50 available until 18 Nov.
