Singapore’s Mediacorp and Taiwanese public broadcaster, Public Television Service (PTS), are jointly commissioning railway-themed infotainment series, “Rail Life Story”, the companies said today as the ATF market wrapped in Singapore.
The new show builds on Mediacorp’s increasingly regional outlook for its original productions.
The eight-episode “Rail Life Story” (列车人生) is being produced by Singapore-based production house, August Pictures.
The show will take viewers on eight train journeys around the world, including the Death Railway from Thailand to Burma and the Trans-Siberian Railway.
Each episode features a different celebrity guest.
Filming stars in 2024, with the series tentatively set for release in Singapore and Taiwan in February 2025.
