Taiwan and France are strengthening their creative ties as part of a new MoU signed this morning between French national film centre CNC and Taiwan government agency, Taicca.
The MoU's expanded collaboration will focus on series, animation and talent incubation, Taicca chairman, Homme Tsai, said at the signing ceremony on day three of this year's TCCF event in Taipei.
CNC president, Dominique Boutonnat, spoke about strong connections and common ground, including creative freedom, between the France and Taiwan, as well as about common approaches to artistic, editorial and political choices.
Boutonnat said the first steps had been taken as part of a broader shared endeavour that would promote the "sustainability and strengthening of our professional ecosystems".
"Taiwan is our key partner in the region and has the potential to become the reference point in the world," he said, adding: "CNC will always stand by your side".
“We have to think big now,” director of the Bureau Francais de Taipei, Franck Paris, said during the ceremony.
