"Squid Game" season two premieres on 26 December, followed in 2025 by the third and final season, Netflix said today

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who also wrote and executive produced season one, returns for season two.

The second season, announced last year, picks up the story of Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) after his "jaw-dropping decisions in the season one finale.

Season two was announced last year.

Returning in the new season are Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Gong Yoo, and Wi Ha-jun.

Newcomers include Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young and Park Sung-hoon, among others.
