Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has reworked its content leadership, shifting industry veteran Danish Khan to a digital-focused role as business head for Sony Liv and Studio Next and puting SPNI lifer Neeraj Vyas in charge of Hindi language entertainment as business head for SET, SAB, PAL and Hindi Movies. The changes are effective from 1 June.
The company described the reorg, announced today (15 May), as “strategic leadership changes to align with its vision for the future”. Both Khan and Vyas are credited with major successes in the past few years and will report to SPNI MD/CEO, NP Singh.
Khan, who has worked for SPNI for a total of 18 years across two stints, has been the business head for Channel SET for seven years and has spearheaded Studio NEXT and Sony LIV since 2019.
SPNI credited Khan with growing Sony Liv’s top line has grown by more than 300% over the past three years. Monthly active users are up increased fourfold.
The company said Khan is now charged with expanding the digital business's footprint in domestic and international markets
Vyas has been with SPNI for more than 27 years, and has been instrumental in heading SAB, PAL and Hindi Movies for the past six years.
