Digital reality show, Stuck with You, premieres on Saturday (20 June), live streamed for eight hours a day across seven days with daily catch-up highlights.
The “new normal” social experiment series, from Singapore-based production houses Refinery Media and Eye Creative, will stream on its own site, stuckwithyou.online, as well as on Refinery/Eye Creative’s new wearegoat.tv channel on Facebook.
Stuck with You puts six young contestants under one roof in Singapore for the week to see who ends up being the most liked.
Activities and challenges in the house are directed by special guests calling in remotely. At the end of every day, contestants are ranked by each other and by audiences at home. After seven days, the overall winner receives a cash prize.
The show will be shot entirely using smartphones, tablets and MacBooks, mixed with video conferencing tech, and in accordance with Covid-19 safely guidelines set by Singapore regulator, the IMDA.
Refinery Media and Eye Creative, which joined forces earlier this year, say the shift in the reality genre “is a necessary evolution on content production given the current situation”.
“Call it the new reality, but the demands of the times challenge us to be ahead of the curve,” says Refinery Media’s founder, Karen Seah.
These times are ripe to explore new ways to keep creating,” Marco Bresciani, Eye Creative’s creative director, adds.
The series is backed by co-living brand, lyf by Ascott, and Singapore telco StarHub, along with FNN, Wing Tai fashion, and Seah’s food group, Refinery Concepts.
Stuck with You comes about six weeks after Refinery and Eye Creative were commissioned to produce a season of The Apprentice for sports brand One Championship.
