Singtel is expanding its digital infrastructure to support the AI journey. The new infrastructure, supported by a S$535 million/US$399 million five-year “green loan”, stretches across Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.

The Singapore telco said today that it was filling demand for the shortage of data centres able to  handle higher-power/density AI workloads, which eat up power and generate high heat. Singtel said the fourth generation data centre platform was tailored for “intense compute environments”.
