Singapore-based Asian channels operator, Rock Entertainment, has greenlit its third original production – “Brother V”.
The new 90-minute docu-feature follows Vivian Siu, the only Chinese female racing driver in FIA sanctioned racing (F4), as she attempts to become the first woman to finish the 2023 Macau Grand Prix, which takes place in November.
Directed by Jonathan Finnigan (“Cher and the Loneliest Elephant”), “Brother V” is a co-production with Lucky Devil Films Production.
Production is slated to complete in March 2024.
“Brother V” will air first on Rock Entertainment’s Global Trekker in markets where the channel is available, and will be for sale in other territories.
Rock Entertertainment’s previous two original titles are “Narai Project” (working title), about the Bangkok hotel that closed its doors in February last year after 54 years to make way for what its owners promise will be another city icon of its time.
The first original, “Healthy Back to Work”, was a series of shorts showcasing efforts to keep staffers healthy physically and mentally as they return to the work space.
Rock’s originals run alongside ongoing acquisitions of exclusive rights to U.S. studio titles, including “Chucky” season three for the flagship Rock Entertainment channel.
