Regional channels operator, Rewind Networks, is doubling down on live event coverage this year, celebrating the second anniversary of entertainment service HITS NOW with five live awards ceremonies, including the Golden Globes and the Grammy Awards.
HITS NOW is the only regional channel in Asia carrying the live Awards shows. The five events make up the 13-year-old Rewind Networks’ biggest annual awards slate ever.
The other three awards events that will air live on the channel this year are the EE BAFTA Film Awards 2025 (16 February), the BAFTA Television Awards 2025 (May 2025) and the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards (Sept 2025).
The awards line up follows HITS NOW’s New Year kick off on 1 January with music history show, “Grammy Greats: The Most Memorable Moments”.
Public ratings data is limited, but “we know the awards shows are amongst the top five shows for the month they air on HITS NOW,” Avi Himatsinghani, Rewind Networks’ founder and CEO, told ContentAsia today.
HITS NOW launched in February 2023 with the Grammy Awards, which was the first live live broadcast for the Singapore-based Rewind Networks.
The channel is available in six markets, including Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines.
