Studio Dragon/tvN drama, “Queen of Tears”, ended a triumphant run at the weekend with an average audience share of 24.85% nationwide for the final episode, giving tvN its biggest domestic hit ever.

“Queen of Tears” performance topples 2020 blockbuster “Crash Landing on You” as tvN’s #1 hit. The “Crash Landing on You” finale reached a nationwide share of 21.683%

The 16-episode Sat/Sun prime-time “Queen of Tears”, which has been on Netflix global non-English TV charts for seven weeks, premiered on 9 March with an average nationwide share of 5.853% in Korea.

“Queen of Tears” stars Kim Soo-hyun (“My Love from the Star”) and Kim Ji-won (“Descendants of the Sun”) in the story of a married couple in crisis.

The series was written by Park Ji-eun, who also wrote “My Love from the Star”, “The Legend of the Blue Sea” and “Crash Landing on You”.
