U.K.-based kids specialist, CAKE, opens the ATF market in Singapore tomorrow with 750 episodes sold to broadcasters in Asia. The deals announced this morning include China, Hong Kong, India and Thailand.
In China, SVOD platform, Hunan Mango TV, is partnering on the second season of “Mush-Mush & The Mushables”. A second property involving mainland China is the long-form series and shorts of “Lucas The Spider” with Uyoung.
In Thailand, True Corp picked up more than 275 episodes, including school-based drama “Dodo”; sci-fi comedy “Space Chickens in Space”; African animated superhero franchise “Super Sema”; pre-school series “Tish Tash”; Ragdoll’s pre-school series, “Bot and The Beasties”; and Will Sliney’s “Draw With Will”.
Indonesia’s RTV also acquired “Draw With Will” and “Will Sliney’s Storytellers”.
PCCW in Hong Kong acquired long-form series, “Angry Birds Summer Madness”, and Aesop’s “Theatre” for free TV, as well as the first series of “Pablo”, Paper Owl’s series about autism for its VOD service.
In India, Sony renewed non-dialogue series, “Oscar’s Oasis”.
The deals were finalised by CAKE’s director of sales, Julien Farçat.
