U.S. streaming platform Paramount+ is expanding its slate of Korean rights, adding three new drama series as part of its seven-title partnership with Korea’s CJ ENM/TVing, Paramount’s president/CEO, international markets and global consumer products & experiences, Pam Kaufman, said at Media Partners Asia’s APOS event in Bali this morning.
The final three series of the partnership announced in December 2021 are “Dongjae, the Good or the Bastard”, produced by Studio Dragon and Ace Factory; “Dreaming of Cinde Fxxxing Rella”; and “Pyramid Game”.
The new shows premiere exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, Latin America, Brazil, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria, and will be distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution outside of Korea, Japan and Taiwan.
The first four titles in the CJ ENM/TVing deal were “Yonder”, “Bargain”, “A Bloody Lucky Day” and “Queen Woo”.
Paramount said “Yonder” was Paramount+’s top international series in the U.S. when the series premiered in April this year.
“Bargain” premieres on Paramount+ on 5 October.

The series is directed by Park Gun Ho, and written by Hwang Hajung and Kim Sangwon.
Produced by CJ ENM, Story Phoenix and Keyeast and directed by Kim Min-kyeong, “Dreaming of Cinde Fxxxing Rella” is a romantic comedy created by Baek Mi-kyoung (“Strong Girl Bong-soon”) about a woman who dreams of escaping her harsh reality.
“Pyramid Game”, created by JQ Lee, written by Choi Sui and directed by BaK So Yeon, is about a high-school girl embroiled in a vicious schoolyard game. The series, starring Kim Jiyeon ("Twenty-Five Twenty-One") is produced by Film Monster and CJ ENM Studios.
