Netflix has partnered with Indian filmmaker Neeraj Pandey’s Friday Storytellers to produce multiple films and TV series, kicking off the deal with a second season of “Khakee”, the companies said today.

“Khakee: The Bihar Chapter” (Nov 2022) was the first collaboration between Netflix and Pandey. The show became one of India’s top 10 TV shows for over five months.

The seven-episode series is about a righteous cop who pursues a merciless criminal in Bihar, a state in eastern India. The policeman soon finds himself entangled in a deadly chase and a web of corruption, challenging him to fight for his morals.

Pandey’s first feature, “A Wednesday” (2008), received acclaim from the Indian film industry and he also created and directed a Hindi-language series, “Special Ops”, for Disney Hotstar in 2020.
