
Singapore streaming platform meWatch premieres the TV adaptation of its second Wattpad story, “The Cutting Edge”, tonight.
The English-language drama series will also air on Mediacorp’s Channel 5 in a prime-time 9.30pm slot on Tuesdays.
“The Cutting Edge”, which follows Wattpad’s “Slow Dancing” on Mediacorp’s platform, is based on a story by Singapore writer, Amber Chen.
The eight-episode half-hour series stars Cheryl Chou as Zoe Song, a woman obsessed with hair. The daughter of a famous hairstylist, Zoe dreams of carrying on the legacy until an unexpected twist sees the family business disintegrate. Now burdened by debt, Zoe’s life changes yet again when a celebrity demands a haircut.
Four new episodes release on meWatch from tonight to 7 September.
The series will also stream on Mediacorp’s Drama Channel on YouTube a week after the meWatch release.
