Singapore’s Mediacorp and global kids specialist, Moonbug Entertainment, are developing the first Singapore edition of global pre-school educational series, "Blippi", for a July 2025 release, the companies said today on day one of the ATF market.
The 20 x 11-mins local series promises to take "young viewers on learning adventures around Singapore while exploring the sights and sounds of the city-state".
The international version has garnered 36.1 million views in Singapore with a total watch time of 243 million minutes to date, the companies said in this afternoon's announcement.
Clayton Grimm, who plays Blippi in the U.S., will helm the new Singapore series, which will feature Singapore celebrities.
The collaboration builds on a content deal inked between Mediacorp and Moonbug Entertainment in May 2023 for close to 80 hours of children's programming – including "Blippi" – to be delivered via Mediacorp's digital video platform mewatch and free-to-air TV channel okto on 5.
