Malaysia's Astro premiered three AI hosts for an "AI News Flash" daily bulletin that premiered on 19 August. 

The two-minute bulletin is Malaysia’s first Chinese news programme featuring AI anchors. 

Two of the AI anchors are based on real anchors and the third – Elin tAI – is completely AI.  

The show airs daily at 6pm on Astro AEC, Astro GO and Sooka, and is an additional programme rather than a replacement. 

Astro said "AI News Flash" uses the latest AI cloning technology to replicate the appearances and voices of human anchors Angela Ang and Celes Loh, in addition to introducing the new virtual AI anchor with a fresh face and voice.
