Broadcasters in Japan, Hong Kong and India have picked up a raft of factual titles from U.K.-based Passion Distribution, the indie distributor said today at ATF in Singapore.
In Japan, public broadcaster NHK acquired the four-part "Dinosaur with Stephen Fry", which tells the story of dinosaurs’ 185 million years on earth, as well as one-hour special, "Big Ben Restored: The Grand Unveiling", the final episode in a series of documentaries following the restoration of the iconic landmark.
Hong Kong’s HK Television Entertainment has bought 45 hours, including the 15-episode "Tool Club" and the four-part, "The Royals: A History of Scandals".
Also in Hong Kong, free-TV broadcaster Television Broadcasts Ltd (TVB) bought 21 hours, including all three seasons of lifestyle series, "Lap of Luxury".
In India, AETN18 Media bought "Secrets of the Superfactories" season two.
Today's announcement also includes acquisitions for Warner Bros Discovery's Animal Planet channel across Asia.
