Raam Punjabi’s "Tersanjung the Series" debuts on WeTV in Indonesia on Wednesday night (8 Dec), returning one of the country’s longest-running sinetrons in a new and modern guise.
The 16-episode young-adult show from MVP Entertainment is a remake of a late 1990s/early 2000s love triangle about Indah Sari (played by Jessica Mila), her first love Bobby (Rezky Aditya), who disappears one night never to return, and Rama (Rayn Wijaya), who is in love with her.
Written by Lele Laila (“Ustad Milenial”), the series is directed by Anggy Umbara (“Till Death Do Us Part”).
New episodes will be released every Wednesday.
The original series, “Tersanjung”, starring Lulu Tobing, Ari Wibowo and Jihan Fahira, ran for 356 episodes across seven seasons from 1998 to 2005.
