The long-serving head of Indonesia’s cable TV/broadband platform, PT Link Net/First Media, Marlo Budiman, has resigned from his position as president director of Indonesian cable/broadband provider PT Link Net Tbk.
No reason has been given for Budiman’s sudden exit, effective from Friday (24 Nov 2023), and no replacement had been announced at presstime.
Budiman has been CEO/president director since 2018, and his reappointment was confirmed in November last year.
Content deals greenlit for Link Net’s broadband/cable TV service, First Media, during his tenure include the launches of Rewind Network’s Hits Now in February this year and SpoTV’s sports channels, SpoTV/SpoTV 2 last year.
Prior to his role at Link Net, Budiman held various positions, including director at PT Bumiputera Investasi Indonesia Tbk from 2017 to 2018, managing partner at PT Y&K Capital from 2016 to 2017, and CFO at PT Sampoerna Telekomunikasi Indonesia from 2008 to 2016.
