Domestic drama series swept demand in Thailand for the week of 14-20 October, with two titles – GMM25’s ”Fourever You” (เพราะรักนำทาง) and BEC World/Ch3’s “The Sweetest Taboo” – attracting more than 20x the demand for an average show in the market, according to data science company Parrot Analytics.
“The Sweetest Taboo”, directed by Anucha Boonyawatana ("Malila: The Flower Farewell"), is about a successful online boutique owner who ends her affair with a man when she discovers he is married. In addition to Ch3 platforms, the series streams on Viu Thailand and has also sold to free-TV network, GMA in the Philippines.
”Fourever You” topped the overall list of shows in Thailand for the week with 24.1x demand, followed by “The Sweetest Taboo” at 20.1x.
Two titles – Disney+'s "Agatha All Along" and "The Voice Thailand" on Channel 3 – hit demand of around 19x on the overall list, followed by Prime Video's "Hazbin Hotel" and The One Enterprise's "The Empress of Ayodhaya" (แม่หยัว) for Netflix in the 17x range.
"The Empress of Ayodhaya" stars Davika Hoorne as Jinda, who must become one of King Phra Chairacha's four concubines to reclaim her dynasty's throne, even as it separates her from her lover Wamon.
"Agatha All Along" topped demand for digital originals, followed by "Hazbin Hotel" and "The Penguin", which airs on Max in the U.S., at #3.
Two YouTube originals – "The Amazing Digital Circus" and "It's Never Sunny In Limerick" – appeared on the digital originals top 10.
