"Do Patti" director and branded-content specialist, Good Morning Films, is working on a regional expansion plan that includes setting up a full-fledged studio to produce feature films and long-form TV series and documentaries across Asia.
Former Viacom APAC and Disney India/SEA exec, Natasha Malhotra, leads the studio division.
Good Morning Films' co-founder, Shashanka "Bob" Chaturvedi, directed "Do Patti", which premiered on Netflix in October this year and held the #1 position on the film top 10 in India for two consecutive weeks and was on the global top 10 for non-English films for four weeks.
Good Morning Films, founded more than 10 years ago by Chaturvedi and Vikram Kalra, previously specialised in advertising films and branded content for clients including Google, Honda and Coca-Cola.
The long-form development slate so far includes social drama, "Campus".
The company is based in India with offices in Singapore.
"Do Patti" was written by Kanika Dhillon, and stars Kriti Sanon, Kajol, Shaheer Sheikh, Brijendra Kala and Tanvi Azmi.
