Bomanbridge Media heads into the post-ATF holiday season with more than 300 hours of factual and other content sold to broadcasters across Asia, the Singapore-based indie said today.
Scripted sales were led by Korean thriller "Black Out: Snow White Must Die", a 14-part drama aired on Hulu in Japan and the U.S. and on MBC Korea. The series, based on Nele Neuhaus' bestseller, was produced by Jaemoon Lee ("Signal").
The series was picked up by Truevisions (Thailand), Galaxy (Vietnam), VieOn (Vietnam) and Vidio (Indonesia).
BBC Studios Asia added four seasons of English-language period crime drama, "Vienna Blood", to its line up. The series is part of Bomanbridge’s collaboration with Seven.One Studios International for Asia.
Factual sales included a pan- regional package with Warner Bros. Discovery Asia for 25 hours with titles such as "Kuri
Buri – Thailand’s Hidden Eden" and the two-part "Beyond Seoul: The Natural Wonders of South Korea".
In Southeast Asia, Thai PBS bought 80 hours of wildlife titles, including "Patrick and the Whale" and "The
Search for The Last Great Tusker", while GMA in the Philippines acquired the 26-episode "Animal DNA".
A 20-hour factual package was agreed with CMG China, including "The Raptors", "Great Lakes Untamed" and "Valley of the Bears", with another 20 hours licensed to PTS (Taiwan).
In Hong Kong, TVB acquired 52 hours of factual programming, including "All the Answers" and "Animal DNA".
KBS Korea acquired 20 hours of natural history titles, including "The Wild Sides", "Golden Eagle – Call of the Wild" and "Cecil the Lion King".
