Taiwan’s five-month-old English-language global streaming platform, TaiwanPlus, has appointed media veteran Bimal Kapoor as deputy CEO under Joanne Tsai.

The Taipei-based streamer said Kapoor would be spearheading the platform’s international growth and strategic partnerships.

Kapoor has spent more than 24 years in the media industry, most recently as Taiwan general manager for the NBA. He previously worked with ESPN, 21st Century Fox and Star TV.

The publicly funded TaiwanPlus is dedicated to uplifting Taiwan’s voice and open values.
