Programmers at Thailand’s Channel 3 head into the weekend holding their breath for performance data from Friday’s premiere of their biggest show of the year – five-part anthology “The Enchantment of Dhevaprom”.
The long-awaited anthology will run to a total of 116 commercial hours (77 episodes).
This makes it the longest premium drama series ever produced by BEC World, which celebrates its 54th anniversary later this month.
“The Enchantment of Dhevaprom” premieres simultaneously on Netflix in Thailand, followed 45 days later with a streaming release on Netflix in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam.
“The Enchantment of Dhevaprom” is the sequel to 2013 mega-hit “Gentlemen of Jutathep” (สุภาพบุรุษจุฑาเทพ).
The new series, which focuses on the women of Dhevaprom, debuts at 8.30pm tomorrow (8 March) night with “Dhevaprom: Laorchan” (ดวงใจเทวพรหม: ลออจันทร์), followed by two-hour slots on Saturdays and Sundays.
“Dhevaprom: Laorchan” stars Gulf Kanawut and Gina Yeena in a 15 x 70-min romance, action fantasy story about a woman who grows up in France and returns to Thailand to prove her family’s innocence. As she plots to steal an ancient gemstone, she finds herself trapped between deception and love.
The second series in the anthology is “Kwanruetai” (ขวัญฤทัย), starring Mikey Panitan and Yada Narilya.
The 14 x 70-min series is about the kind, generous and hardworking Kwanruetai, the daughter of M.L. Maratee Dhevaprom. Desperate for her mother's love and approval, she finds herself mired in family conflict and disapproval when she falls for a young military doctor from the Jutathep family.
“Jaipisut” (ใจพิสุทธิ์), a romance/action series starring Tate Myron, Oom- Eisaya and Job Thuchapon, is the third in the anthology.
The 17 x 70-min series continues to delve into the long-running conflict between the Jutathep and Dhevaprom families in the story of Capt. M.L. Ronnajak Jutathep, who is forced into a friendship with a teacher, Jaipisut, ...

Fourth series, “Dujupsorn” (ดุจอัปสร) starring Kongthap Peak and Mint Ranchrawee, is about Fah, whose mother harbours decades-old resentment against a member of the Jutathep family for breaking a promise to marry her.
The 15 x 70-minute series sees Fah attempt to take revenge only to find herself facing a tough choice.
The final instalment is romantic drama “Poncheewan” (พรชีวัน), starring Kao Noppakao and PP Punpreedee, in a 16 x 70-minute story about the bright and beautiful cousins of Dhevaprom – Cheewan and Poncheewa – who become caught in a triangle of lies and jealousy with a Thai diplomat in Bern.
