BBC Studios opened Mipcom this morning with a raft of international pre-sales for natural history series “Asia” and five-part science series “Solar System”.

Australia (Nine), China (Dragon TV and Phoenix TV), Japan (NHK) and New Zealand (TVNZ) have sealed pre-sales for “Asia”, produced by BBC Studios Natural History Unit and co-produced by BBC America, ZDF and France Télévisions.

“Asia” will air on BBC EArth across Asia as well as on Sony-BBC Earth in India and on BBC Player in Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan.

“Solar System” (5 x 60 mins), a BBC Studios Science Unit Production with NOVA and GBH for BBC and PBS, has sold to Australia (ABC), and will air on BBC Earth in Asia, BBC Player in Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan, and on Sony-BBC Earth in India.
