Banijay is believed to have shuttered its Singapore-based regional office, retrenching staff and shifting full control of distribution and production to its Indian operation in Mumbai.

The unexpected decision was apparently announced last Friday. Banijay had not at presstime commented on the Singapore closure and it’s not yet clear how many jobs have been cut.
