Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine India have unveiled a new structure the companies said today is "aimed at fuelling future growth in the Indian and Asian entertainment space".
The reorg – billed as a "strategic alignment" after Banijay's acquisition of Endemol Shine India – gives Rishi Negi, Mrinalini Jain and Shyam Rathi expanded roles on Deepak Dhar’s leadership team out of Mumbai.
The company said the new roles would " unlock greater synergies between the two entities".
Rishi Negi has been upped to group COO, with Mrinalini Jain as group chief development officer and Shyam Rathi as group CFO.
Lalit Sharma takes over legal and Fiona Machado will head HR.
Deepak Dhar, Banijay Asia & Endemol Shine India founder & group CEO said today that the mission "has always been to create exceptional content that captivates audiences across India and beyond. With this strategic restructuring, we are taking another step forward in our commitment to be the torch-bearers for first-class storytelling across screens".
Banijay Asia production in the past few years have included India adaptations of "The Night Manager", "Call My Agent Bollywood" and "The Trial", which was adapted from "The Good Wife", along with originals including "Dahan", "Matsya Kaand" and "Undekhi", among others.
Upcoming shows include Indian adaptations of "Monk", "House" and "Suits" as well as the first local version of "Temptation Island".
