“Meteor Garden”-creator Angie Chai is attached to a new Chinese content development initiative in a deal between Taiwan’s Mission International and Singapore’s Mediacorp.

The partnership, announced today on day two of the ATF market in Singapore, will develop a series of projects across three themes/genres – fantasy/romance, growing up/coming of age, and female empowerment.

Today’s MoU is the first between the two companies.

Chai (柴智屏), best known for hit teen idol drama, “Meteor Garden”, (流星花园) and for forming megastar boyband F4, will lead Mission International’s involvement in the development, with chief content officer Virginia Lim for Mediacorp.

The projects will involve artistic and production talents from Singapore and Taiwan.
