Sabrina Duguet, EVP Asia Pacific, all3media international
What are your top three priorities for distribution of your content in Asia in 2020?
"As we go into 2020, we are going to keep championing our award-winning slate of drama content. With over 25 dramas launching next year, a mixture of brand new and returners, we continue to work with world class producers and on-screen talent to deliver our drama slate... Finally, we want to build even closer relationships with great Asian producers and platforms, across formats, non-scripted and drama we’re recognising the value of local storytelling and ideas."
Did the Asia market live up to expectations in terms of acquisitions in 2019?
"This year has been a year of transition for all3media international and for the wider Asian market. There have been shifts in terms of the needs and requirements for platforms and clients. We have continued to grow our partnerships with local creators, media agencies and platforms and overall 2019 was a great stepping stone for our growth in 2020."
What do you think will have the biggest influence on acquisition of your content in Asia in 2020?
"The heart of all3media international’s business has always been about creating great content, we work with excellent writers including, Jack Thorne who wrote "National Treasure", "Kiri" and "The Accident", and "Fleabag" creator and writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and industry leading production companies including New Pictures, Studio Lambert and Raw. We have deepened our relationships in Asia forging partnerships with local SVODs and producers and as the region’s tastes broaden, we continue to acquire content that resonates locally but will also work for international audiences."
